Tracey Neuls Shop
On the 29th of June 2005, TRACEY NEULS the shop was born at 29
Marylebone Lane in London’s West End.
Hung from the ceiling or displayed like works of art on vintage stools, shoes are everywhere in the shop, except on the shelves. It is a sensual, challenging experience, and you are encouraged to touch and explore.
“ Shoes are objects that continually move. Like sculptures, they have a 360 view that should be seen. It seems strange to me that shoes would sit statically on shelves with only the tops exposed to the eye.”
The interior is continuously re-invented through Tracey’s collaborations with creatives outside of the shoe world. Some previous collaborations have seen her expose her thoughts onto the walls via illustration, knit the space up including wool wallpaper and most recently photographic work with Saachi artist Boo Ritson.
Tracey Neuls has also won a coveted Design Week ‘bench mark’ award and the shop has been short listed for the DNAD’s ‘branded environment’ award.
